This Cookie Policy explains how Velaire Aviation LLC ("Velaire", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on velaireaviation.com (the "Site"), what they do, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. "Similar technologies" include browser local storage, pixels, and tags that perform comparable functions. Cookies set by Velaire are "first-party"; cookies set by other companies through our Site are "third-party". "Session" cookies expire when you close your browser; "persistent" cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
2. How We Ask for Consent
When you first visit the Site, a banner offers two equally prominent choices:
- Essential only — only the cookies and storage needed for the Site to work are used. Advertising and analytics storage remain off.
- Accept all — in addition, analytics and advertising technologies described below are enabled.
If you close the banner without choosing, we treat that as "Essential only" for that visit and ask again next time. Your choice is stored in your browser (see table) so we do not ask on every page. Google's tags on the Site run under Google Consent Mode v2: advertising and analytics storage are set to "denied" by default and switch to "granted" only when you choose "Accept all". We also honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out of advertising cookies.
3. Cookies and Storage We Use

3.2 Analytics (with consent)

3.3 Advertising (with consent)

3.4 Embedded content
The Contact page embeds a Google Map, and some pages may embed Instagram content. When those elements load, the provider may set its own cookies under its own policy (Google, Meta/Instagram).
3.5 Location
The flight estimator may ask your browser for your location to pre-select the nearest departure airport. This uses the browser's permission prompt, not a cookie, and the coordinates are not stored or transmitted beyond matching the nearest airport.
4. How to Change Your Choice
- To switch between "Essential only" and "Accept all", clear the Site's data in your browser settings (which removes
velaire_policy_consent_v1) and reload; the banner will appear again. You may also email us and we will confirm the change on our side. - Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in to the member portal.
- Google Ads personalisation can be managed at adssettings.google.com.
- Turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser opts you out of advertising cookies on the Site automatically.
5. Do Not Track
There is no industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" browser signals, so the Site does not change its behaviour in response to them; we do respond to Global Privacy Control as described above.
